Icebreaker and Self Introduction

This example is too long for a Elevator Speech or Elevator Pitch, but makes a good Icebreaker Speech. Several things to remember:

  1. This person is very warm and personable.
  2. She add some humor.
  3. Be sure that when you use A/V that the audience can see your screen.
  4. Nice close – the past, present future. Be sure to mention your theme in the beginning.

The human brain hates surprises. So a great format for an Icebreaker is the 3×3 speech design. Have 3 points and tell them the points 3 times. Said another way is:

  • Tell them what you’re going to tell them
  • Tell them
  • Tell the what you told them.

Enjoy. Practice & Have Fun!
